The Blinders Story: A Tale of Over-Engineering (You're Welcome)
Years ago, blinders were in short supply. So SSP’s owner Mike — the guy with an engineer's brain — decided to whip some up from scratch.
Here's the thing about engineers: give them a simple task, and they will overbuild it. Every. Single. Time. It's basically a law of nature. So Mike did what Mike does, and the result is a blinder with more thought packed into it than you'd ever guess just by looking at it.
Ever bought something and stared at it, going, "...what is THIS part for?" — with zero instructions to help you out? Yeah. We've all been there. So consider this your official decoder ring.
The cutouts (top AND bottom): These blinders are built to mount on your existing glasses with thin metal temples. You get to choose — mount 'em higher or lower on the temple, however fits your face and your setup best. That's exactly why there are two cutouts instead of one. Options, baby.
Got Methow glasses? If you're rocking SSP's Methow frames with that wider, infrangible frame, you'll need to grab a pocket knife and clear out the material between the vertical and horizontal cutouts. A little manual customization, and you're good to go.
Size matters (to some of you, anyway): Turns out not everyone wants the same size blinders — some like 'em big, some like 'em small. So we tossed a green outline right on there. Grab a pair of scissors, trim it down, and boom — smaller blinders, custom-fit to your preference.
Moral of the story: it's not overcomplicated, it's just thorough. Mike doesn't do "basic." Mike does "built to work exactly how you need it to."

Bonus fun fact: The famous line "You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time" is widely credited to 15th-century English poet John Lydgate — proof that even 600 years ago, folks were dealing with the same problem Mike solves for every day: everybody wants something a little different.
